Meet the Team

Kendall McKown | Lead Dental Assistant / Child Development Associate (CDA)

Kendall joined our practice in October 2020, and like Dr. Alatorre, she is passionate about dentistry. With over 15 years of experience, Kendall enjoys using her skills and knowledge to help Dr. Alatorre take care of our patients. Kendall is driven by her desire to help people, especially children. She started with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Boise State University and later received dental assistant training in 2003–2004. She brings a special gentle touch to our services, and our patients love her for it.

Outside the office, Kendall is married to her husband of 20 years and has two fur babies named Bama and Odie. She loves reading, puzzles, and being outdoors, and she dreams about one day retiring in a lakeside community. Kendall loves her fur babies and is especially fond of basset hounds.

Angela Christoff | Dental Assistant / Front Office

As our dental assistant, Angela keeps our office stocked, prepped, and ready for anything. In 2005 she graduated with honors from the Dental Assistant Program at Pima Medical Institute, and we’re more than thrilled to have that experience available to our patients!

Angela has a welcoming manner that makes everyone, whether staff or patient, feel like a member of the family. She loves getting to know everyone individually and helping them receive excellent dental care.

At home, she and her partner, Shawn, have their hands quite full with two young daughters who have a lot of energy. Angela also has a grown son. She loves spending time with her family on weekend outings.

When she does get a little time to herself, she spends it exercising or baking.

Hoku Pili Mai | Hygienist

Hoku is a CSN graduate who is goal-driven and hard-working. We’re very lucky to have her working with us. She’s been at our office since 2017, and has been practicing in the dental industry since 2005. Hoku works with patients more often than the doctor, so it’s her privilege to help them feel welcomed and comfortable in our office. The best part of a dental visit for Hoku is when the patients comment on how good their teeth feel after they’ve been cleaned.

Hoku has four sons who keep her on her toes. She spends a lot of time cheering them on at various sporting and school events and acting as a chauffeur. When she’s not on the bleachers, she enjoys reading and keeping in shape.

Lisa Hayward | Office Manager

Lisa has been with our office for 6 years, bringing with her over three decades of experience in the dental field, which have allowed her to witness remarkable advancements in dental care and technology. She is integral to creating a welcoming atmosphere at Alatorre Dental, contributing significantly to a team that values compassion and patient-focused care. Her dedication helps ensure every patient feels comfortable and supported in achieving their dental goals.

As a mother of three daughters, two of whom live out of state, Lisa cherishes family time. Outside of work, you can find her at her daughter’s soccer games, playing golf with her husband, and spending quality time with their Golden Doodle, Zoe.
